Students can attain teaching certification in Physical Education and Health Education. In addition, students interested in the coaching profession will be able to earn a Supplemental Coaching Endorsement.

For students selecting the Sport and Recreation Management degree, education and training in four option areas are available. The Human Performance, Outdoor Adventure Recreation, Pre-Athletic Training and Sport Leadership curriculum offers students the opportunity to prepare for a variety of employment opportunities.

HPER provides additional experiences through involvement in the HPER Senior Experience, which enhances the academic curriculum through field experiences, professional conventions and professional internship experiences.
